24hrs.Hack for Albanias Future

Come and join our efforts to face the most important challenges in tourism, finance, community and education - it will be a weekend of tackling the challenges in each field with technology. It is time to connect to your fellow developers nationally and internationally.

The goal of the #TechfestAlbania is to develop applications & visualisations that help solving challenges and create new solutions in a rapid prototyping format. To achieve this goal, we will host real-life challenges with experts in each field and participants (startups, students, innovators, entrepreneurs) will develop new prototypes in only 24 hours directly in Tirana to cause a positive Impact to everybody.

After 24hs the developed prototypes will be presented to a jury and winner projects will be selected.

The Challenges.Working on Impact

Technology can support, accelerate and invent ways how to improve our lives. We tackle the most important issues in Albania for the people in Albania and Visitors outside. At the Hackathon participants have an opportunity to take a step into the future of Albania by solving specific real-life challenges together in collaboration:

We will give detailed information about the specific challenges at the event, to keep it fair and avoid that you have to prepare something we have developed great spedific challenges for Albania but still give you lots of freedom for creativity, to balance this event fruitful for everybody.

  • Dev Session with Michael Bromley, CTO Vendure

    Michael will visit us and do a session about Development with Vendure, exchange thoughts on Web Development and how to become better in field that is constantly changing.

  • Dev Session with Daniel Starns, Software Engineer at Prisma

    Daniel will do the session "Making Databases Easy" with focus on handling frontend based view on Databases with Prisma, an ORM for GraphQL and TypeScript.

  • Presentation Training with us at Engage Technology

    We do a session about how to present your project to impress the jury, visitors and bring your Idea across.

  • Warming up: Tiranë Web Development Meetup Group

    We meet the day before at Coolab and hangout, talk about webdevelopment and network.

  • Learn About Austria

    Learn about Austria, its culture, job opportunities and of course the developers.
